Initially, during Los Angeles County’s post-World War II boom in industries like entertainment and aerospace, National utilized Jonel's advanced control systems to navigate the rapid growth and burgeoning demand for construction and infrastructure projects. As the population expanded and building codes evolved to include rigorous seismic requirements from both federal and state regulations, including those from the California Department of Transportation, National continued to rely on Jonel’s technology. This early adoption and ongoing use of cutting-edge systems cemented a long-standing relationship, setting National apart in the industry for continuous innovation and growth.Fast forward over five decades, Los Angeles, with nearly 4 million residents, experienced a resurgence in urban projects. National seized this opportunity, partnering with Jonel to provide the control systems that supported its expansion into new ventures in Vernon, Van Nuys, and Canoga Park.

Sam Hild, operations manager at National, has observed National’s growth firsthand over the last 30 years. “From the top down Jonel is very helpful, knowledgeable, you can call them at all hours of the night if we have a problem they are there and that is what we like best about Jonel is being able to have that level of service that they provide” In Southern California, National operates 10 unique plants, each tailored to its specific needs. “Jonel has been able to custom their Archer system to fit every plant we have. And their ability to reprogram and make changes when we have to create or add new equipment is seamless and very easy,” says Sam.

National Expansion

The partnership has expanded beyond California, with National extending its operations into Alabama and Georgia, tapping into opportunities in the southwestern United States. Jonel has played a crucial role in this expansion into key markets. “When I think about Jonel I think about accuracy, efficiency, ease of operations, user friendly, customer service is a very big reason that we like to use Jonel,” Sam remarks, confident in the adaptability of Jonel’s Archer system to handle any challenge.
